Enclosed is a copy of the archaeological survey report for this bridge replacement. Two sites - 9Go4 and 9Go5 were located within the project limits. Since both 9Go4 and 9Go5 have been reduced by plowing and erosion to the plow zone, they cannot be considered eligible for the National Register of Historic Pl aces. However, for reasons stated within the report, it is the opinion of the Staff Archaeologist that the sites need further investigation before construction can proceed. Your concurrence with the investigation methods and status of the sites, as put forth in the report, is requested. Your prompt attention to this project would be greatly appreciated.
