Project STP-0856 (16) would add an eastbound and westbound passing lane on SR 52. Symmetrical widening on the eastbound passing lane would begin on SR 52 at mile post 16.0 then continue northeasterly to an end point at mile post 17.3. Symmetrical widening on the westbound passing lane would begin on SR 52 at mile post 18.8 then continue easterly to an end point at mile post 20.1. Existing right-of-way on SR 52 is approximately 24.3 meters (80 feet), while the proposed additional right-of-way will vary throughout the project from approximately 0 to 38.1 meters (0 to 125 feet). An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed rights -of-way was conducted for the entire 5.10 kilometer (3.10 mile) project corridor.
