Archaeological Reassessment of Project BHF-012-1(97), Bartow County

Report Number

Year of Publication

Abstract

The original proposed project would replace the SR 20 bridge over Stamp Creek. The existing bridge is approximately 140' X 26' and would be replaced with an approximately 203' X 44' structure on existing alignment. State Route 20 would be closed, utilizing an off-site detour. Existing right-of-way along SR 20 is approximately 100'; required right-of-way for this project would be approximately 150'. Current design changes require the project to be lengthened at the western terminus by approximately 0.062-mile. An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted for the entire length of the project corridor.
