Abstract

The Pryor Road bridge (Site 14) over South Fork Tributary is located on Pryor Road south of Ashwood Avenue/Pryor Circle and north of Fair Drive. Flooding caused erosion behind the northwest wingwall of the bridge. To repair the damage, the eroded area with gullies was protected with a gabion wall approximately 50 feet in length on both sides of the stream and stabilized with rip rap. All work occurred within existing right-of-way (ROW).

The Fair Drive culvert (Site 27) is located on Fair Drive just east of Pickfair Way and west of Pryor Road. Flooding caused erosion behind the northwest wingwall of the culvert. To repair the damage, riprap was replaced and additional riprap was added to protect the downstream wingwalls. The area of replaced riprap was approximately 45 feet long by 20 feet wide, equaling 900 square feet at the inlet side embankment. Additional materials added on top of this in the same area for better protection. Debris was also removed from the stream channel. All work occurred within existing ROW.

The Forrest Park Road culvert (Site 29) is located south of Constitution Road, between Stonewall Drive and Midway StreetfNatham Drive. Flooding caused erosion at the wingwalls. To repair the damage, riprap was replaced at both the upstream and downstream wingwalls and the channel was cleared of debris. The area of replaced riprap was approximately 10 feet long by 15 feet wide at each wingwall, equaling 600 square feet. All work occurred within existing ROW.
