The proposed project would construct new sidewalks on both sides of New Hope Road between Boat Rock Road to the south and Danforth Road to the north (see Figure 1). This is an approximate distance of 1.8 miles. The proposed Improvements would consist of a 5-foot sid81N81k with a 2-foot grass strip and a 24-inch curb and gutter on both sides of the road. The existing right-of-way (ROW) is 50 feet. Minor amounts of ROW would be required at various locations; however, those amounts are not available at this time. This project is part of a larger Sandtown Pedestrian Network, which will connect pedestrians along New Hope Road and Campbellton Road to an elementary and middle school, and Sandtown Park, all of which are located on Campbellton Road.
