The proposed project will install Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons at the following intersections in the City of Tybee Island along SR26/US80: McKenzie Avenue, 2nd Street, 3rd Street, 4th Street, 5th Street, 6th Street, 7th Street, 8th Street, 9th Street, 10th Street, 11th Street, 12th Street, 13th Street, and 15th-Street. The project is proposing to place raised islands on top of the existing pavement to place the Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons. The only work behind the existing curb and gutter will be the removal of the existing sign and the placement of one additional standard sign on the approach to the beacon. No right-of-way (ROW) or easements are anticipated for this project.
