Abstract

The reconstruction of Jodeco Road (CR 824) begins on Jodeco Road approximately 846 feet west of the intersection of Plantation Boulevard. With proposed improvements, the existing two-lane Jodeco Road would transition to and become a four-lane urban roadway with a variable flush median to the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive (CR 157). Jodeco Road would continue as an urban section consisting of one eastbound lane and one to two westbound lanes separated by a variable flush median. The 1-75/Jodeco Road Interchange reconstruction ends on Jodeco Road approximately 907 feet east of Meadowbrook Drive where the project would tie to the existing two-lane urban roadway. The project would include a new eight-lane (two thru and two left turn lanes in each direction) bridge over 1-75 as well as reconstruct and widen the 1-75 conventional diamond ramps. In accordance with the Henry County designation as a bike and pedestrian corridor, four-foot bike lanes and five-foot sidewalks would be constructed along Jodeco Road. The Jodeco Road intersections at the 1-75 southbound and northbound ramps, Patrick Henry Parkway are signalized. However, the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive would not be signalized.
