Abstract

The proposed project consists of milling, resurfacing, loop detectors, striping, raised pavement markers, and concrete sidewalks. There are fourteen curb cut (wheelchair) ramps to be constructed. This project will not have earth shoulder filling (adding a wedge of dirt (1.5 inches to 0 inches) up to four feet wide to prevent an edge of pavement drop off then permanently stabilized the same day). All work will be done within existing right-of-way which varies from 135 to 175 feet. The project begins at 477 feet north of Railroad Overpass Bridge at MP 6.323 northwest of Lathrop Avenue and ends at MP 9.252 at the beginning of the grassed median 1,056 feet north of Smith Avenue in Savannah.
