Abstract

The proposed project will provide four, 12-ft. lanes with a 44-ft. depressed grassed median from the beginning of the project at SR 332 at Talmo, in Jackson County, to just south of its northern terminus at SR 323 in Hall County, where it will transition to four, 12-ft. lanes divided by a 20-ft. raised median with rural shoulders. Widening will begin on the west side of the current US 129/SR 11 and transition to the east side at variable points; in addition, the bridge over Allen Creek will be replaced. Existing right-of-way (ROW) along the route is approximately 100 ft. in width and expands up to 280 ft. at the bridge; required ROW will be approximately 150 ft. and will expand up to 400 ft. at the bridge. The total project length is estimated at approximately 7.4 miles.
