Abstract

This project consists of the replacement of the structurally deficient bridge on SR 36 at Yellow Water Creek just north of Jackson in Butts County. The project would begin just north of Stark Road and continue north along SR 36 until ending approximately 2,500 ft. north of the bridge for a total length of approximately 1 mile. The existing right-of-way (ROW) width is 100ft. and the proposed typical section would include two 12-ft. lanes with varying width rural shoulders (paved/grass) and a proposed ROW width of approximately 150 ft. It is undecided at this time whether an on-site or off-site detour will be utilized.
