Abstract

Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed Section 106 Review Documentation, FCC Form 621, for our client, Crown Castle USA concerning their proposed 'ALP-A' site. ECA's report assesses a proposed federal undertaking at the subject site where Crown Castle USA intends a collocation of antennae on its existing telecommunications structure and a 30-foot by 37-foot compound expansion to include additional ground-level support equipment. The collocation and ground expansion are proposed for their existing facility located at 86 School Drive in Alpharetta, Fulton County, Georgia.

Our site visit, research, and analysis has revealed that during the construction phase of Milton High School, the athletic fields surrounding the telecommunications facility, and the existing telecommunications facility substantial disturbance of the top soils occurred. Any cultural-resource bearing soils have been disturbed and/or displaced.

Therefore, it is my professional opinion that no archaeological field survey should be performed at the project site at this time. The likelihood of this proposed telecommunications facility ground expansion effecting archaeological resources is remote.
