Abstract

The proposed project is located at the SR 26/US 80 intersection with Beasley Road/Cawana Road in Statesboro, Georgia. The project consists of intersection improvements and a partial signal upgrade needed to improve turning movements onto SR 26/US 80. The project proposes to provide 12-foot left tum lanes with 5-foot unpaved shoulders, along the southbound Beasley Road and northbound Cawana Road intersection approaches. The existing right-of-way along SR 26/US 80 is approximately I 00 feet; along Beasley Road it is approximately 80 feet; and along Cawana Road it is approximately 60 feet. This project requires minimal additional right-of-way along both Beasley and Cawana Roads ranging from zero to 25 feet. Additionally, three driveway easements approximately 15 feet wide and on2 fence easement approximately I 0 feet wide will be required. The total length of the project is approximately 0.4 mile
