Abstract

Brunswick Harbor is a naturally protected deepwater port adjacent to the city of Brunswick, Georgia. Currently, there are some thirty miles of deepwater frontage extending from the Bar c crossing in the Atlantic Ocean to the Allied Chemical Wharf on Turtle River. Over 1,263,086 tons of shipping passed through the industries throughout southeast Georgia by supplying inexpensive bulk transportation for both raw materials and finished products. Brunswick is a seaport of increasing importance to southeastern commerce and has a strong potential for becoming a major south Atlantic support.
