Abstract

A preliminary survey of the acquisition area has identified several aboriginal habitation sites. Four of these are rock shelters and have been nominated for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. This agency feels that these and other archaeological sites in the Woodall Tract should receive due consideration prior to any development of the tract. In such a circumstance as development, this agency should be notified of such activity that might affect the status of the sites.
