Abstract

A heritage resources survey has been completed for approximately 916 acres for the East Nottely Project. Approximately 370 acres were surveyed for the current project, 326 acres have been previously surveyed, and 220 acres will be surveyed after the timber sale. A total of nineteen new sites were found during the current survey, and eight previously recorded sites are found within the current project as well. . Of these 27, two (9UN107, 9UN161) are recommended as eligible, 24 are ineligible, and one (9UN606) is recommended as undetermined. The two eligible sites and one undetermined sites will be protected by a 30-50 meter buffer around the site during implementation.
