Abstract

The proposed project would consist of road maintenance activities along a 1.359 mile section of State Route (SR) 27 in Appling County from west of Thomas Street to east of Old Surrency Road (Figure 1). These maintenance activities include the installation of handicapped-accessible ramps, milling, patching, resurfacing, striping, and placement of raised pavement markers. Also, on all bridges with concrete decks there will only be restriping. No work is proposed beyond 5-ft. of the existing edge of pavement. All work would occur along SR 27 within the existing right-of-way (ROW). Curb cuts are proposed at the following locations: 1) Wildes Street; and 2) Roberson/Robinson Street.
