A potential bridge replacement has been identified along State Route (SR) 169, Lanes Bridge Road, located in Wayne County, Georgia. The existing bridge along SR169 currently spans a segment of Goose Creek approximately 4 miles north of Jesup, Georgia (Figures 1 & 2). The existing typical section of SR 169 consists of two 12 foot travel lanes, one in each direction, with varying shoulder widths. The existing bridge measures approximately 204 feet (62 meters) in length and is 36 feet (11 meters) wide. GDOT District 5 plans to replace this bridge due to structural deficiencies present in the existing structure.
