Abstract

The proposed project would replace the existing substandard bridge along State Route (SR) 60/Mineral Bluff Highway over Hothouse Creek 2.5 miles northwest of Mineral Bluff in Fannin County, Georgia. The project begins .23 miles southeast the intersection of SR 60/Mineral Bluff Highway and Curtis Switch Road, ends approximately .24 miles northwest of the intersection. The existing bridge Is 105 feet in total length, and consists of 2 lanes, 12 feet wide with a deck width of 29 feet 6 inches. The proposed bridge would be approximately 150 feet in total length, and consist of 2 lanes, 12 feet in length with 8 foot paved shoulders and a deck width of 43 feet 3 inches. The existing right-of-way (ROW) varies from 80 feet to 100 feet along the highway centerline. The required ROW will be 150 feet; 75 feet on each side of the highway centerline. All work will take place within the required ROW.
