Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) project CSSTP-0006-00(979), PI 0006979 in Fulton County, Georgia proposes to develop pedestrian connectivity, improve pedestrian and bicycle safety, and ease pedestrian circulation along portions of Memorial Drive/SR 154 as well as along Martin Street in downtown Atlanta. The project will develop linkage and enhance visual appearance between the new Capital Gateway Community and downtown Atlanta. The existing five lane roadway will be widened to include a landscaped median/pedestrian refuge area and wider 10-ft 6- in lanes in addition to sidewalks and landscaped strips along the north and south sides of Memorial Drive.
