Abstract

The current survey represents the seventh survey and sixth addendum report for the project. Previous surveys were conducted by EPEI for the overpass improvement and interchange modifications along I-75. The original archaeological survey involved four locations along I-75 in Tift County, Georgia. These four locations included overpass improvements for CR 107/Wesley Rigdon Road over I-75, and interchange modifications for the I-75 interchanges with CR 410/Brighton Road, CR 421/Chula-Brookfield Road, and CR 11/Willis Still Road (Banguilan 2005). The addendum to the 2005 EPEI survey entailed a proposed driveway entrance for access to the University of Georgia Veterinary Testing and Diagnostics Laboratory, from SR 7/US 41 (Quirk 2006). The second addendum involved a survey for five sediment basins associated with the original project (Silliman 2008). The fourth project surveyed by EPEI and third addendum to the original overpass and interchange modifications were for drainage easements and a new culvert in the project area (Silliman 2009). The fifth project surveyed by EPEI and fourth addendum included driveway access to the University of Georgia Veterinary Testing and Diagnostics Laboratory proposed from CR 410/Brighton Road, as well as an increase in ROW along SR 41 (Blackwelder 2012). The sixth, and most recent, survey for the project included an increase in the easement required for the driveway to the UGA College of Agriculture from 0.92 acre to 0.97 acre to accommodate drainage and driveway construction (Blackwelder 2013). In addition to the above referenced surveys, the area of this addendum was surveyed as part of the widening of I-75 in 1999 (Duff 1999).
