Abstract

The proposed project consists of the addition of a northbound passing lane on SR 53 just south of the city of Hoschton. The project would begin at MP 6.80 just south of CR 167/Tap Wood Road. The project would end at approximately MP 8.40. Existing right-of-way varies from approximately 15 m to 30 m (49.2 ft to 98.4 ft). Required right-of-way varies from approximately 3 m to 12 m (9.8 ft to 39.4 ft). An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted along the entire 2.56 km (1.60 mi) project corridor.
