Project STP-048-1 (33) would widen and reconstruct SR 28 in Columbia and Richmond Counties. The proposed project on SR 28 would begin at Riverwatch Parkway then continue northwesterly to an end point just north of Evans to Lock Road. The existing right-of-way on SR 28 is approximately 30 meters (100 feet), while the additional required right-of-way would be a maximum of approximately 39 meters (130 feet). An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted for the entire 4.63 kilometer (2.88 mile) length of the project corridor.
