Abstract

The proposed project would construct a 48.8 m x 11.6 m (160 ft x 38 ft) concrete bridge structure on existing alignment on SR 188 at West Branch Barnett's Creek approximately 8 km (4.9 mi) northwest of Cairo, Georgia in Grady County. The existing right-of-way is 30.5 m (100 ft), while an additional 12.2 m (40 ft) of required right-of-way will be needed. Also, an on-site runaround detour on the south side of the roadway will be constructed. Approximately 304.8 m x 18.3 m (1,000 ft x 60 ft) of construction easement will be required for the on-site detour. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed project's rights-of-way was conducted for the entire 1.21 km (0.75 mi) project corridor.
