Project NH-030-1(17) would relocate and construct a right turn lane at the SR 49/SR 27 Dual intersection in Americus. The proposed project would begin on SR 49 at mile point 16.575 and continue northeasterly to an end point at 16.670. The existing right-of-way on SR 49 is approximately 18.2 meters (60 feet), while the existing right-of-way on SR 27 DU is approximately 15.2 meters (50 feet). All project construction will be restricted to within the existing right-of-way on SR 49 and SR 27 DU. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed right-of-way was conducted for the entire 152 meter (500 foot) project corridor.
