Proposed project STP-034-3(24)in Bibb County proposes to widen and reconstruct Pio Nono Avenue/SR 247/US 41 from its intersection with Broadway/SR 49/US 129 and Houston Avenue/SR I !IUS 41-Business north approximately 1.2 miles to the 1-75 interchange. The proposed typical section would consist of at least 3 11-foot lanes in each direction with a 20-foot raised concrete median and a 4-foot bike lane in each direction. This project was originally surveyed for archaeology and cleared by GDOT archaeologists in August of 1986. Since that time, two connector roads have been added near the southern project terminus to link Broadway to Houston (Broadway-Houston Connector) and Houston to Pio Nono (Borden Connector). The current reassessment survey covered the additional required right-of-way for the two connector roads.
