The proposed project would improve SR 141/Medlock Bridge by extending the existing right-turn lane onto Old Alabama Road to State Bridge Road, approximately 1,300 feet. The northbound left-turn lane onto Medlock Crossing Parkway would also be extended approximately 500 feet to allow for adequate storage. Other work associated with these improvements includes the reconstruction of concrete islands and striping to accommodate the turn lane extensions and improve the intersection operation. The traffic signals at Medlock Crossing Parkway and State Bridge Road would also be modified to accommodate the relocation of signal heads, pedestrian poles, loop detectors, pull boxes and borings. No additional right-of-way (ROW) would be required.
