The proposed project would consist of replacing the SR 369 Bridge over the Chattahoochee River (Lake Lanier) in Forsyth and Hall Counties, Georgia. The proposed project is located approximately 11.5 miles northeast of the City of Cumming and is approximately 0.78 mile long. The project proposes to replace the structurally deficient two-lane bridge with a new structure located just south of the existing bridge's current location. The proposed bridge would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with 8-foot shoulders. The roadway approaches would be reconstructed to provide two 12-foot travel lanes and 10-foot shoulders (4-foot paved). The new bridge is being proposed on new location with the existing bridge to remain open to traffic during construction because there are no acceptable detour routes around this crossing of the Chattahoochee River (Lake Lanier). The existing steel truss bridge would be removed upon completion of the new structure. Existing right-of-way (ROW) is 120 feet and the proposed RQW is 120 to 170 feet.
