Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed an Archaeological Assessment for the federal undertaking at the subject site. The subject site includes a 15- foot by 30-foot compound expansion southwest and contiguous with an existing equipment shelter and a telecommunications structure. The subject site has been cleared and graded for construction of 10-foot by 15-foot and 6-foot by 12-foot concrete equipment pads to house T-Mobile's collocation equipment. The facility is located on the property of Shallowford Free Will Baptist Church located at 1686 Shallowford Road NE, in Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia.
This archaeological assessment was conducted in order to ascertain whether the undertaking, on the project site, might directly or indirectly affect cultural resources, if any such resources exist. No previously recorded archaeological sites were identified through our review of available cultural records and databases within the area for direct effects. Furthermore, no archaeological cultural resources were encountered during the course of the field survey portion of this archaeological assessment.
We conclude that the undertaking would not affect any historic or prehistoric archaeological resources that are listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Therefore, for archaeological cultural resources, we recommend a finding of No Effect for the proposed undertaking.
