Abstract

This project would replace the two existing bridges on SR 64.

The first existing concrete bridge is 170 feet x 26 feet (ID 173‐0012‐0) on SR 64 and is located at Ten Mile Creek approximately 6.5 miles northwest of Lakeland, Georgia. The current Bridge Sufficiency Rating is 69.3, and the bridge would be replaced with a proposed 275-foot x 38-foot concrete bridge. The proposed approaches would consist of two 11-foot travel lanes, 8-foot shoulders with 4-foot paved and open ditches. Traffic would be maintained with an off‐site detour.  The proposed project would be approximately 1,600 feet in length.

The second existing concrete bridge is 120 feet x 26 feet (ID 173‐0013‐0) and is located on SR 64 at Five Mile Creek approximately 6.6 miles north of Lakeland, Georgia. The proposed replacement bridge would be a 220-foot x 38-foot concrete bridge.  The proposed approaches would consist of two 11-foot travel lanes, 8-foot shoulders with 4-foot paved and open ditches. Traffic would be maintained with an off‐site detour.  The proposed project would be approximately 1,000 feet in length.
