Report Number

Year of Publication

Abstract

This report presents the findings of a cultural resources survey for a natural gas pipe replacement project. The survey took place in southeastern Douglas County approximately five miles south of the city of Douglasville, Georgia. The survey was designed to locate evidence of possible cultural deposits occurring within a pipeline right-of-way and to provide information as to the origin, size, and significance of any such deposits. As a result of the survey, one site was located adjacent to the existing pipeline right-of -way corridor. Officially registered as Site 9Do53 on the Georgia Site File, the site lies outside the project area proper and does not meet minimum standards for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. The Division of Archaeology recommends no further cultural resource work for this project.
