Fourth Addendum to the Phase I Archaeological Survey of Jeffersonville and Millerfield Road Widening in Bibb County, Georgia

Report Number
9668
Year of Publication
2017
Abstract

The proposed project in Bibb County, Georgia would widen Jeffersonville Road from a two-lane rural section to a five-lane urban section from Emery Highway (US 23, US Alt 129, SR 19, SR 87) to Boggy Branch, transition to a three lane urban section from Boggy Branch to Emery Road (US 80, SR 57), and widen Millerfield Road from a two-lane rural section to a five-lane urban section from Jeffersonville Road to New Clinton Road. The Jeffersonville Road Bridge over Walnut Creek would be replaced with a five-lane facility (Figure 1). The Central of Georgia Railroad Bridge over Jeffersonville Road will be replaced with a bridge that will accommodate a five-lane urban section. Proposed right-of-way (ROW) width will vary between 100 and 102 feet. Existing ROW varies from 46 to 100 feet throughout the corridor, but because the proposed alignment shifts to the north or south of the current alignment in various places, required ROW along the corridor varies from 0 to 50 feet.
