Abstract

The original survey for this project was conducted by GDOT personnel and reported in a GDOT Archaeological Assessment In-House Survey Report (Williams 2014). No field survey was conducted as previous archaeological surveys had covered the APE and ESC for this project. Minor alignment changes necessitated a reevaluation of the project which also determined that proposed project was covered by previous archaeological surveys (Blackwelder 2016). The entire survey area was inspected and photographed during a pedestrian survey. The shovel tests were excavated at 30-meter intervals with tests measuring 30 centimeters in diameter (Figure 3). Shovel tests were excavated to a maximum depth of 80 centimeters, or at least 10 centimeters into subsoil. All soil was screened through X inch hardware cloth.
