Abstract

This project consists of the milling, leveling, and resurfacing of SR 9, beginning at CS 9049/Church Street and ending at the Forsyth County line. All work will take place within the existing right-of way, no new right-of-way is required. Total project length is approximately 4.878 miles.

Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.

The above referenced project is scheduled for the July 2005 Let. This is a maintenance project that proposes 4.878 miles of milling, leveling and resurfacing of SR 9 from CS 9049/Church Street to Forsyth County line. It is anticipated that this rehabilitation will NOT require RW acquisition.
