Abstract

This project proposes the deck rehabilitation to the SR 2/US 76 bridge over Lake Burton in Rabun County, Georgia. All work will take place from the existing bridge deck, with no new right-of-way required. Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.

Project CSSTP-M002-00(788) is a bridge deck rehabilitation project on SR 2 (US 76) over Lake Burton in Rabun County, Georgia. The project includes hydro-demolition of deck surface to below the top mat of reinforcement. The deck will be overlaid with concrete and edge beams and joint seals would be replaced. All construction debris is to be contained and removed as per the specifications.
