Archeological Assessment of the Wilcox County Resurfacing Project. This proposed project would improve SR 215 beginning at the Dooly/Wilcox county line (MP 0.00) and ending at the intersection of SR 30/US 280 in the City of Pitts (MP 9.25). This project proposes to construct and pave 2 feet of the existing shoulders, left and right to be followed by resurfacing. Existing typical section consists of two 12 foot travel lanes on 100 feet of existing right-of-way. No additional right-of-way is required for the implementation of this project. Total project length will be 9.25 miles.
