"In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project STP-744(6), Harris County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the proposed project's area of potential environmental effect.
The proposed project would reconstruct the intersection of SR 219 and Hopewell Church Road in Harris County. SR 219 would be realigned to allow for a perpendicular intersection into Hopewell Church Road.
Hopewell Church Road will be relocated to allow for a continuous flow of westbound traffic onto north bound SR 219. The proposed project length would be 0.50 mile and proposed right-of-way would vary from 90 to 120 feet.
