Phase I Archaeological Survey of the Proposed Cochran Road at Deep Creek Bridge Replacement in Fulton County, Georgia

Abstract

Georgia Department of Transportation Project (GDOT) P.I. No. 0015529 consists of a bridge replacement along Cochran Road located over Deep Creek in South Fulton County, Georgia. The existing bridge will be demolished and a new bridge will be constructed on the appropriate existing alignment. An off site detour will be implemented while the bridge is under construction. The existing right-of-way (ROW) is 60 feet and the proposed ROW is an additional 60 feet, to include all temporary and permanent easements. The proposed project will also include 230 feet of paving to the north of the bridge replacement, and 250 feet of paving to the south of the bridge replacement, all paving will occur within the existing 60 feet of ROW. The total length of the project will be 570 feet.
