This is a bridge project, BHS-1819(5), Burke County. The bridge is on SR 56 Spur and is over Boggy Gut Creek. The existing structure is a 90 foot long by 24 feet wide steel and concrete bridge. The existing ROW is 80 to 150 feet. This project beings approximately 700 feet NW of the stream and ends approximately 1100 feet SE of the stream. The existing bridge is to be widened on the northeast side to 44 feet. A 35 foot strip of ROW will be required on the northeast or downstream side. Roadway will be shifted to the northeast approximately 12 feet.
