Archeological Assessment of Project PHF-0002-00(3 12), Union County, Georgia, consists of the resurfacing of the parking lot of Brasstown Bald and the access road leading to the main facility. Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CPR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
