Abstract

Archeological Assessment of a Hall/Dawson County Resurfacing Project. This proposed project includes 10.77 miles of spot patching, 2' shoulder widening, leveling and resurfacing on SR 136 beginning at the pavement joint 50' east of SR 400 in Dawson County and ending at the pavement joint 80' west of SR 60 in Hall County. No new right-of-way is required. Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.1 6(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of historic Places.
