Abstract

The proposed project is to be the replacement of the existing two lane bridge over Rood Creek on S.R. 39. The existing bridge is 1331 long and 24' wide with a roadway width of 24'. The bridge has timber substructure with steel beam superstructure and corrugated steel and asphalt deck. The bridge is in fair condition but is inadequate for present day traffic due to having a load carrying capacity of six tons. The new structure will be 133' long and 30' wide.
