Project STP-007-1(66), Decatur County: of No Undertaking Determination; the subject project would consist of leveling and surfacing of SR 1 Business in the city of Bainbridge. The proposed project would begin just east of Calhoun Street at MP 14.60 in the city of Bainbridge and extend in a northwesterly direction to end at a point just west of the southbound exit ramp at the intersection of US 27 / SR 1 at MP 16.37 in the city of Bainbridge. No earthwork would be involved in the process of adding base and surfacing the existing roadway. No acquisition of additional right-of-way or construction would be required to implement the project. According to 36 CFR 800.2(o), an "undertaking" consists of "any project, activity, or program that can result in changes in the character or use of historic properties, if any such properties are located within the proposed project's area of potential effects. This project does not have the potential to result in changes to the character or use of any historic properties, therefore, the subject project does not constitute an undertaking. This finding fulfills the Department's requirements under Section 106.
