Abstract

A potential bridge replacement has been identified along State Route (SR) 169/ Lones Bridge Rood (Rd)

Located in Wayne County, Georgia. The existing bridge along SR 169 currently spans a segment of Goose Creek approximately 4 miles north of Jesup, Georgia. The existing typical section of SR 169 consists of two 12 foot (ft) travel lanes, one in each direction, with varying shoulder widths. The existing bridge measures approximately 204ft (62 meters) in length and is 36ft (11 meters) wide. Existing right-of-way (ROW) width is approximately 40 ft (12 meters) from the centerline on either side of the rood. Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) District 5 plans to replace this bridge due to structural deficiencies present in the existing structure. This current 2019 addendum addresses changes to the original 2017 project ESB. This survey addresses needed project ESB extensions along SR 169, north along Oglethorpe Rd, and west along Aldridge Rd to accommodate potential tie-in redesigns.
