Project STP-030-3(25), Telfair County: Proposed Paving of Shoulders Along SR 30 from the Dodge County Line to SR 27; The proposed project consists of the paving of shoulders along SR 30 from the Dodge County Line to SR 27 in McRae (see attached map). Total project length is approximately 18.5 kilometers (11.4 miles). The existing two-lane facility would have an additional 0.6 meter (2 feet) of pavement put down along the right and left shoulders. All proposed activity would occur within existing right-of- way.
The corridor passes through mostly rural/suburban areas and has had modern residential and commercial development occur along it. The majority of houses along the corridor are modern and few pre-World War II dwellings are to be found.
