In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRZLB-057(7) Cherokee County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to located, identify, and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. The project replaces a bridge with one that is proposed to be a 38ft Double-Double 10 X 8 concrete box culvert on a new alignment approximately 50ft south of the existing bridge.
