As the Laboratory Manager responsible for curation and public outreach, Kristine Schenk works to preserve archaeological collections from across the southeast. As a museum professional, this position allows her to combine her love for collections with finding ways to make them accessible to the public. Before joining the Laboratory, Kristine worked at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame and the Robert J. Dole Archive and Special Collections. Her educational background includes an MA in Museum Studies and Anthropology from the University of Kansas and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Florida. Prior to graduating, she interned at a variety of institutions including Fossil Butte National Monument, the New Hampshire Farm Museum, and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument.
