Abstract

The project begins at the intersection of Lindsay Creek Parkway and First Division Road and runs north approximately 2.9 miles to just south of the 1-85 interchange with SR 1/520/US 27/280. The project consists in the installation of double-faced guardrail in the median with emergency openings, upgrading existing guardrail on the outside shoulders and the replacement of existing median drop inlet covers on Lindsay Creek Parkway.

The existing typical section for Lindsay Creek Parkway consists of 4 - 12 ft travel lanes, two in each direction, with a 10 ft paved outside shoulder and a 4 ft paved 2 ft grassed inside shoulder. The median width is approximately 40 ft.

The proposed typical section for Lindsay Creek Road will consist of 4 - 12 ft travel lanes, two in each direction, with a 10 ft paved outside shoulder and a 4 ft paved 2 ft grassed inside shoulder. Double faced guardrail will be installed in the median and the existing guardrail on the outside shoulder will be replaced, both per Ga. Standards.

Lindsay Creek Parkway is located within Fort Benning. There is no established right-of-way.

The project termini on Lindsay Creek Parkway are from MP 0.00 to 2.90. The project length is 2.90 miles.
