Abstract

Approximately six-tenths of a mile southwest of Georgia, 242 along S-2613 the base of a stemmed quartz projectile point was found. This was located in the ditch along the left-hand side of the road. No other artifacts (points, flakes, pottery, etc.) were found here. Approximately one mile southwest of Georgia 242 along S-2613 a cluster of porcelain and iron fragments were found. These were located between two large cedar trees on the right-hand side of the road. The remaining two miles of S-2613 showed no other artifacts other than occasional porcelain fragments. No further investigations are recommended.
