Abstract

The purpose of this project is to replace Bridge 049-5037-0 carrying County Road (CR) 52, Ralph Davis Road over Long Branch Tributary in Charlton County (Figure 1). The existing Right-of-Way (ROW) measures approximately 80 feet from centerline. The bridge is 70 feet long. No temporary roadways or bridges were proposed for this project. This bridge replacement project is a candidate for the Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP). These projects allow for a quick program delivery and limit impacts to sensitive environmental resources.

The project was originally surveyed in 2017 for archaeological resources. Changes to the project have occurred since the original archaeological assessment. Small amounts of easements were added in November 2017 which were documented in an addendum survey report. Since that time, the easements have been increased to accommodate the installation of rip-rap.
