Abstract

The proposed project would replace the existing bridge carrying County Road (CR) 157/Findley Road over Interstate Highway 75 (I-75) located three miles (mi) (4.82 kilometers [km]) south of Pinehurst in Dooly County, Georgia (Figure 1). The proposed project would begin approximately 230 feet (ft) (70.10 meters [m]) east of the Liberty Church Road/CR 157 intersection and end approximately 750 ft (228.60 m) west of the Bowen Road/CR 157 intersection. The proposed project length along CR 157/Findley Road is approximately 0.4 mi (0.64 km). The existing roadway of CR 157/Findley Road consists of two 10-foot lanes. The proposed project’s typical section would consist of two travel lanes (one in each direction). The existing right-of-way (ROW) of CR 157/Findley Road varies between 100 and 150 ft (30.48 and 45.72 m), and the acquisition of new ROW and easement would not be necessary to accommodate the alignment and construction of the proposed project.
